Lifting in The Morning >*
popping some caffeine on an empty stomach and waking up = win. plus you get it out of the way early.
I would love to do this, but I don’t want to get up at 5am every morning to allow me enough time
fuck YOUUUUUUUUUU
edit: lol I go in to work at 8 now and I feel like I get to sleep in SO much compared to my last position, hahah. Poor me.
i work 12-5. part time summer job > full time. my buddy has to work 43 hours a week at a grocery store. fuck that
yuck. I work in sales, so I answer the phone, place orders, and surf the net ALL DAY ftw. Lol
so you get up empty stomach, pop caffeine and do an hour , hour and a half long work out? how was your strength on an empty stomach

been there, done that
When I played football I would do morning workouts 5 days a week all summer long. Had to be there at 7am. FUCK THAT!
My workouts are so much better in the afternoon/evening. Plus, popping caffeine pills is good now, but wait until a month from now when you feel like complete ass and getting out of bed is nearly impossible until you pop them.

Workouts are way too important for me to do them half-asleep and on an empty stomach. Fuck that.
Cardio in the morning FTW. Lifting heavy weights in the morning with absolutely no strength FTL. I have been doing cardio in the AM since I live directly behind a gym, but anytime I lift weights I am probably 60% as strong as I am at night.
.
I’d have to get up at like 4 am to get up, get ready, eat, lift, come home, shower and still be at work by 7. Plus, I can’t lift for shit at 0 dark 30.
i need at least 3-4 meals under my belt befor ei can lift w/o feeling like shit
Agreed. The earliest I can make it to the gym is about 8-9 at night because of work. Working out when you’re yawning sucks.
I get horrible exertion headaches and feel like I’m going to puke. Not so much fun at all.
I go at 5am 3 days a week and around 11am on sat/sun. It’s really hard to make an excuse when it’s the first thing you do every day.
I work 56-60 hours a week.
True words.
A quick session of cardio in the AM on an empty stomach (maybe some coffee, but that’s it) is great stuff…. I wish I could do it more often.
OMFG
none of you know ANYTHING about gaining serious muscle if you think working out on an empty stomach first thing in the morning is ok to do
and how you feel has NOTHING to do with it
Yeah even if I’m doing morning cardio I’ll at least down some BCAA’s and waxy maize or something.
Lifting in the mornings would kill me.
na fuck going on an empty stomach. I usually have a scoop and a half of whey and 1/2 cup of oats in milk then go about 30 minutes later
and if you have any kind of dedication its really hard to make an excuse after work too
Wow, I love doing all my stuff in the mornings… I hate going to the gym past 12:00pm… too crowded.
EDIT: and no empty stomach, drink a muscle milk mix before you go ftw.
Lifting at night and tiring myself out, eating, and stretching my pumped quads in bed and falling asleep ftw.
your CNS is most "excited" later in the day
the caffeine thing only works for a little while, you’ll adjust to it and won’t have teh same pep.
lifting in the morning was good because i was definitely way more active throughout the day and had more energy, but i wasn’t as strong and had a lot more joint pain. i still think cardio in the morning, weights in the evening is the best approach.
