face fat?
I am currently bulking right now and I am seeing great progress. I am slowly gaining overall size. (Went from 160-170lbs) However, I’ve gained a significant amount of fat on my face. It seems to be fairly noticeable by family members who I haven’t seen before I gained the weight. I didn’t gain too much fat anywhere else though. Should I lower my carb intake? What kind of adjustments do you recommend for my diet?
On training days I take in around 4300 calories, 360 g protein, 366g carbs, 150 g fat.
On off-days I take in 4100 calories, 345 g protein, 295 g carbs, 180 g fat.
All of these calories come from oatmeal, egg whites, protein powder, tuna, chicken breasts, natural peanut butter, extra virgin olive oil, fish oil, waxy maize, cashews, and brown rice.
I also tried yohimburn es on my face for 2 weeks, but it didn’t do jack shit. I just bought another bottle of sesapure to give it another shot.
Or is face fat a sacrifice that I will have to take until I start my cutting cycle and lose overall body fat.
It just might be water retention.
How often do you cheat? When I cheat on processed foods I balloon up like a mother fucker..
yohimburn can help SOME people reduce water and fat gain in the face. But primarily its beneficial for face fat reduction while cutting (calorie deficit).
sesapure will help reduce fat gain, AIFM might also be beneficial (as lower estrogen will generally help reduce facial fat gain as well as water retention).
two thing that can help immensely with water issues, increase potassium intake and decrease sodium intake. Potassium should be at least twice sodium, generally prefer at least 4 times.
also with high calorie and protein intake, water intake need will increase. Generally reccomend 1 gallon of water per 50kg of weight or about 12 oz of water per 5kg

c’mon.
So you guys think its just water retention? To be honest, I haven’t been drinking a lot of water. And according to your calculations macro, I would need to drink around 1.5 gallons of water a day… I am no where close to that. So if I start drinking a lot more water daily and eat more bananas or other sources of potassium, should that help with my face bloating?

potassium reduces face bloat ? i eat alot of carbs day/night so i stay bloated 24/7. Anyway to reduce it ?
I believe its the opposite of the natural school of though, ‘more water will equal more bloat."
From what I understand the more water you intake; the less your body feels a need to hold onto water. So more water=less retention

Would daily trips to the sauna help take out water retention?
Same thing happened to me…i was much more dreamy looking with a skinny face haha. My only idea is to do neck stretches that wrestlers do which strenghtings and builds there neck up. Just a thought though.

just get the job of bulking done, then worry about your looks when you cut
mind you, 4300 cals is pretty high… but if you’re an ecto, you probably need it
What’s the recommended daily sodium intake for a 170 pounder? I currently take in around 3700mg of sodium.
