I keep reading that we can only gain 1-2 lbs. of muscles per month naturally, so this would take a while for us… stick with it and be patient.
Generally (not 240+… which was 230+ few posts ago), I keep hearing that Asians on the east coast are bigger then west.

i started training when i was super fat at 16, i was like 330+, then i dieted to 210-220ish. then over time i got back up for strength athletics.

i’ll agree, I think this theory, which I agree with for those of us 5′9 and above is pretty much true, but I know guys who are 5′5-5′6 who have a solid 8-10 yrs of lifting under them and they are pretty damn thick and have never touched an anabolic

I look at it as a struggle against myself, to look bigger/better/stronger than I was before. As long as I’m improving, I’m happy. I know that I will never be 230+ at 8% bf or w/e while staying natural. I’m fine with that. But I know I can be better than I am right now, therefore there is room for improvement.
There will always be someone better than you in everything you do in life. Use it as motivation instead of discouragement.

Yeah, that gives clarification to my point a bit. Once you get taller (say 5′ 10" and above) Chris’s theory holds more water. At that point, I can certainly see it working. However, with shorter people I am not so sure that theory hold exclusively true. I am somewhere at 5′ 8" / 5′ 9" and I know natural dudes who are a couple inches shorter than me and weigh just about the same.
I guess Chris’s theory in applicable to the masses, but there are definite exceptions, and finding that exception isn’t particularly hard when talking about "shorter" people.

you can be smallish/lean
or biggish/pudgier

Having started as a dude at about 120 lbs, it’s pretty damn depressing to be 170lbs now and still be a "little guy" at 5′8" after putting in so much time/work. 3 solid years later I look a lot better, but I’m by no means what anybody really aspires to be.
Yeah, anything is better than where I started from. On another note, holy inflation rate… it’s going to kills those of us in the middle class… meat prices are going to go up even more etc….

From what I have read its years of abuse and then finally it lets go. I have pulled 505 on a rack pull and felt fine, pulled 470 on a regular dead and felt great. This was just a wierd occurence but it has happened to a bunch of people online from reading various forums. I dont think I will ever deadlift again unless I ever want to compete. From this point on its rehab and then I will be training under what Uncle Pur has in store for me even if its the BB route.
