Basketball/Volleyball crew.. sign in

Not looking to be a basketball or volleyball coach or player anytime soon but I’m looking for individual drills of all various types related to each sport. Specifically I’m looking for more ways to improve an individual’s physical attributes such as agility, power (to some extent), motor learning, etc. As I am typing this I have a "fair" idea of some drills; basically drills that first come to mind that a player/coach would diagnose to a beginner, and pretty much the same drills that are most likely on the first page of youtube which I’ll have a look at in a bit so no need to post them here.

Help With Diet?

Sup Bros? Can any of you take a look at this diet and let me know if anything needs to be changed or moved around?

I am trying to focus purely on weights loss, I pretty much eat the same thing every day.

8:00 Carb & sugar control yogurt with kashi crunch cereal rather than granola
8:30 Whey protein shake
10:00 1 low fat mozzarella string cheese with 3 pieces of turkey jerky
11:30 1/2 Subway
1:30 Whey protein shake <– I don’t know if this is necessary because of the protein in the subway

What should I be doing before and after working out?

as far as stretch/warm-up, what should I be doing? What about eating? before or after? I’ve just recently started going to the gym, and today, while doing some weights my forearms got really tight after my work out, what can I do to prevent this?

Right now im at 240 pounds, trying to lose weight, my goal is 199, i’ve started eating healthy, and been taking some SuperStimulant by OPX. Also thinking about picking up the LipoBoost. I’ve lost weight before, got down to 199, from 280, but I just pretty much did ecstacy every weekend and basically starved my self. I ended up getting a job, and stopped doing it all the time, and I gained 50 pounds in the last year, lost ten this week. so that’s where im at. I just want to do it right this time, and not gain it back. any suggestions?

skinny guy here wants to gain muscle.

I’ve lifted weights a couple times during the past couple of years, but now I’ve decided to devote the next couple of months to gaining some muscle.

would anybody care to recommend some foods or some weight/muscle gaining exercises?

so far, I’ve got dumbbells, a bench press machine, and a skipping rope.
Adjust the volume to your level and same with the diet…this is just a base starter. Worked for me a few hundred others. I dont care if you disagree keep it to yourself, for others if you have questions…feel free to ask. I never bother to do this anymore so i though it would be a good start for some. Being a bodybuilder isnt easy and it sucks. If you think this is alot…exits that way. This isnt set in stone, all sorts of variations of exercises and foods can be used. This is just what i liked and still do

a thread for people who swim? but aren’t necessarily great

i feel like i gotta qualify everything i say in here because i’m sure there are people here who are actually in shape and good at this shit on OT

been swimming for 3 weeks, almost every day. generally just about an 45-60 minutes a day. when i started, i couldn’t do 50 yards without taking like a minute to rest. i blame this on having quit smoking not long before that. and also being weak i guess lol. right now i’m averaging something like 35 to 40 yds/minute for the whole thing.

I realized that I haven’t deviated from my "routine" on back day in a while – here’s what I usually do:

– Deadlifts (trap bar)
– Lat Pulldowns
– Rev. grip Lat Pulldowns
– Cable Rows
– T-bar Rows
– Pullups

Anything else you bros suggest adding in?
change your grip on pullups/pulldowns
inverted rows
dumbbells rows
barbell rows
pullover machine
straight arm pulldowns

Just got a membership at my local gym. Want to gain about 30 pounds and tone up a bit, I’m skinny as fuck right now. Does anyone have a good workout routine I should follow that breaks down what I should do?

– Should I eat before or after I go to the gym?

– How often should I go to the gym?

– How long should a typical workout run?
