I got this workout from a blog which got this workout from the book "Starting Strength" and modified it slightly for a newbie without a personal strength coach.

I’ll be alternating Workouts A and B 3 times a week.

Workout A Sunday
Workout B Tuesday
Workout A Friday
Workout B Sunday etc.

Workout A

3×8 Squat (barbell)

3×8 Bench Press (barbell or dumbbell)

1×8 Deadlift (barbell)

weight loss tips

I’ve pretty much kicked soda and that’s helped, trying to eat healthier and I have some home equipment but not too much. Plus I don’t really know what to do on the total gym but I do use it a few times a week. Lost 20lbs but I’ve put back on most of that due to some relapses in soda and stress eating. Anyways my goal is to lose 50lbs by the end of the year and then maybe another 20-30lbs after that.
If soda is a real weakness, why not get the diet variants? They only have 5 calories or something.

My buddies "low carb" diet!!

One of my buddies was asking for some diet advice. I asked him what does he eat now. He said that he gets around 3000-3500 cals per day and less than 200 carbs. I told him that I wanted to see exactly what his meals were. This is his diet!! LMAO!!

:30am (breakfast)
~70g Milk Isolate protein
full fat cream
2 cups of milk
mixed berries
Magnesium Aspartate
Zinc

1:00pm (lunch @ Sonny Bryans)
BBQ beef, chicken, ham
greenbean casarole
