What to eat after running?

I started running last week, been trying to keep it at minimum 3x a week. I run about 2 miles. By the time I get home I’m starving. What are some good foods to eat after running?
Is there some sort of time frame in which I need to eat after? I haven’t eaten anything yet, and I got home from running at 9:30.
are you running to lose weight or for cardiovascular/general fitness?
Protein and carb blend. Protein is B0$$ and it actually helps your uptake of carbs. Scoop of protein w/a banana is a good combo. Gives you some potasium too. If you eat a shit ton of pasta it will just make you more tired. You don’t need that many carbs. Just get ~20gs or so with some protein within 10-15 minutes of workout and then within an hour or so get a regular meal.

pwo nutrition for late night lifting

I’m trying to do the cardio in the morning lifting in the evening thing and curious about pwo nutrition when lifting late at night. I eat 6 meals a day with meals 1-5 including carbs. I’m used to lifting between meals 2 and 3 so after lifting I’d get in plenty of carbs. With lifting late at night I lift after meal 4 so I only get one meal with carbs in it which is my pwo shake (2 scoops ON, 1/2 cup malto, 1/4 cup dextrose roughly 80g of carbs). Meal 6 is 1 cup cottage cheese and 1oz almonds.

ON getting all foamy in a shaker?

Does any other protein not do this, or is this just an ON thing? It’s all i’ve used so far.
My ON Whey never does that. How vigerously are you shaking it? ON mixes pretty well so you don’t need to shake that hard. Also, you can stick it in the freezer for 5-10min to defoam it.

I had some stuff a year or so ago that foamed up realy bad so I would mix and stick in the fridge before I went to the gym.
Last protein I had did that, only worked in blender… can’t remember for the life of me what brand, been through so many diff ones

don’t think there are any Canadian retailers for those, not that i’ve found at least. I did order AIFM once from a Canadian shop and it cost almost double what it cost from Anafit

just order from afstore. I’ve never had any problems and haven’t been dinged for customs or duties

Cinnamon Bun or whatever its called that people were boasting about. This stuff is super overrated. ON stuff still taste 10 times better. This shit taste like the diet version of Cinnamon Bun that Muscle Milk has. If you want great tasting protein stick with ON or MM
their chocolate is bomb. everything else i have tried that they have( cinamon bun, grape, orange) is just eh. orange was doable and grape was ok to throw in a smoothie. just got another 10 lbs of chocolate and i take like 3-4 shakes a day. im talking about their isolate also

Bulking up…read the stickys but…

I’ve been working out consistently everyday at work for the last 2 months and have definitely been seeing results. However, I think I need to do more to increase muscle mass. Would creatine help with that? I currently dont take it now but I have significantly increased my protein intake.

Regarding protein, what is a good protein supplement (Optimum?) and a good place to buy it? None of the sites in the sticky seemed to have it. Also, how important is creatine? Does that have any effect on bulking aside from the fact that it enhances muscle performance?

Anyone only take Protien with water?

do sometimes but I can’t stomach it after a while, the taste gets old quick. Milk and some type of fruit, usually blueberries goes into the magicbullet and I have my self a nice beverage.

Then again thats why I don’t have 8% bf
i drink ON with water..i love it that way.

i prefer it with water. i use casein and dont like the way it tastes with milk

in the morning i throw a frozen banana into the magic bullet + water + ice + 2 scoops of ON

any other time I take ON it’s with room tempature water

coffee + cream + protein is if you’re doing keto.
